VAT Relief - Information and Exemption Form
If you are a UK resident, you may be entitled to VAT exemption when you purchase a medical device, for example if you have been diagnosed with the condition hyperhidrosis and are purchasing for personal use. A detailed explanation of the rules surrounding who is eligible to claim relief from VAT can be found at HM Revenue and Customs website under Notice 701/7 - VAT Reliefs for disabled people.
After purchasing, the VAT exemption form with pre-filled information, such as you name, address and telephone number will be sent to your email. If you qualify for VAT exemption, simply sign the form and return it to us at kundtjanst@hidroxa.com.
By signing the form, you are claiming responsibility for the exemption. We accept no liability or accountability for individuals who are classified as non-exempt but who do not pay the added VAT when placing orders. The exemption details are set out by HM Revenue & Customs. Those individuals who do not adhere to paying VAT when classed as non-exempt do so at their own risk and may be traced via an audit trail by HM Revenue & Customs, which may result in a penalty or possible prosecution.
You will qualify for VAT relief only if you are chronically sick or disabled and if the goods are for your personal or domestic use. You do not have to be registered disabled to qualify for VAT-free goods.
- For VAT purposes, you’re chronically sick or disabled if you have:
- a physical or mental impairment which has a long term and substantial adverse effect upon your ability to carry out everyday activities
- a condition which the medical profession treats as a chronic sickness (that’s a long-term health condition)
To request exemption from paying VAT, sign a form stating that you are disabled or chronically sick. Once the purchase is made, we will send you the VAT Exemption form and wait for your signature to confirm that you, or the person for whom you are buying the item, are eligible for VAT Relief.
Note: To make it as easy as possible to claim VAT Relief, you do not have to pay VAT and then reclaim it from the government. The price on our website is the price without VAT. "After 8-9 treatments/days, I became completely dry on my hands. I started using Hidroxa almost a month ago.
